Keep a precise model record for safety-notice checks
Use exact identifiers and official notices rather than a product photograph, broad wattage or an incomplete search result.
Updated:

Start with the official notice service
The UK government's Product Safety Alerts, Reports and Recalls service provides searchable notices and filters. Use it as an official source, then read the complete relevant notice and its required action. This article does not declare that any pictured appliance is recalled, unaffected or safe to use.
Keep the product identity beside the search record. A broad category such as fan heater can return information that does not apply to your exact unit. Conversely, a narrow search with an incomplete identifier can miss relevant information. The purpose of the record is to make the comparison with a notice precise, not to turn a quick search into a certificate.

Do not identify a product by wattage alone
An illustrative 2000W description is not a unique product identifier. A listing that mentions 1200W or 3000W also does not establish the full model, variant, batch or serial information that a particular notice may require. These wattages are examples of broad specification fields, not claims about the photographed appliances.
Record the exact identifier from the appropriate product information, following the manufacturer's guidance for locating it safely. Do not open a housing or disturb wiring to find a label. If the label is missing or unreadable, ask the manufacturer or seller how to identify the unit rather than guessing from its colour and controls.

Compare every identifier the notice specifies
Read the notice's product description and any stated model, batch or other limits together. A photograph can help with recognition, but it should not replace the written scope. If you cannot determine whether your unit is included, contact the organisation identified in the official notice for clarification.
The historical fan-heater and radiator photographs show different forms and control layouts. None shows a complete identity record suitable for deciding recall coverage. Their role here is to demonstrate why a familiar appearance is insufficient. Do not label a product safe or recalled merely because it resembles an image on another page.

Keep the action and source date together
Save the notice title, official link, date checked and the action it specifies. Follow that action rather than inventing a repair or continuing to use a product while treating a notice as optional reading. If the official page changes, retain the updated instruction and the date you consulted it.
Electrical Safety First recommends registering heaters so owners can be contacted about safety recalls. Registration and an organised record can help you receive and interpret information, but neither replaces reading an applicable notice. Keep personal registration details private; a public editorial page does not need your serial number, address or purchase account information.

Record uncertainty without giving false reassurance
A useful entry can say that identification is incomplete or that the manufacturer is being asked to confirm the scope. Avoid writing no problem found as if it were a technical inspection result. A search cannot assess the physical condition of the appliance in your home, and a missing result does not override visible damage or other concerns.
We have not inspected or tested the pictured products, and we are not issuing a recall determination. This guide supplies a record format and official starting points. The decision about an applicable notice should follow its exact scope and instructions, with clarification from the responsible organisation whenever the identity or required action is uncertain.
